Mark Wijsman was born in The Hague, The Netherlands. At the age of six he started acting at the Rabarber Youth Theater school in the Netherlands. At nine years old, he featured in National Theater’s Production of ‘Kleine Zielen’, by Couperus, touring the Netherlands for the season. As a child, he played the lead in Dutch Film Festival selected ‘De Angst van Zorg‘, by acclaimed Dutch director Maria Peters and had a supporting role in RTL produced television series ‘U Beslist‘.
During his teenage years, he starred alongside two-time Academy Award winner Peter Ustinov in his first English spoken theater production, called Peace Child, for the United Nations.
After some time working in Media & Marketing, Mark returned to the acting industry in Cape Town, South Africa in 2014. Soon after, he spent some time living in the United States to study at the T.Schreiber Studio in New York City. 
In recent years, Mark has acted in a variety of international features, festival shorts and television series, most recently as ‘Jerry’ in Nickelodeon’s ‘Hunter Street‘. In addition, he has starred in more than 20 international commercial campaigns. He also works as a writer and producer.
